JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State men's basketball team and head coach Mo Williams released its 2025-26 schedule featuring 10 home regular season basketball games inside the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center.
The schedule features seven teams who played in the NCAA Tournament last season including a pair of Final Four teams (Auburn and Houston), and the 2025 national runner-up (Houston).
The Tigers open play an exhibition game at home to kick off the season on Oct. 27 against Southern Miss (11-22 last season) before the regular season begins on the road on Nov. 3 against Illinois (22-13 last season). They continue their road swing against Louisville (27-8 last season) on Nov. 6, followed by Louisiana Tech (20-12 last season) on Nov. 15. Following the game in Ruston (La.), Jackson State will play a pair of games against SEC opponents Auburn (32-6 last season) on Nov. 19 and Arkansas (22-15 last season) Nov. 21, both on the road.
Jackson State returns home on Nov. 23 for a non-conference game at the Lee E. Williams AAC against Winthrop (23-11 last season), before hitting the road to close out the month of November against Louisiana (12-21 last season) on Nov. 28. The Tigers open the month of December on the road against Kennesaw State (19-14 last season) on Dec. 2, followed by road games against Houston (35-5 last season) on Dec. 10 and Northwestern (17-16 last season) on Dec. 13. The Tigers close out non-conference play against Hampton (17-16 last season) on Dec. 18 and Norfolk State (24-11 last season) on Dec. 19 in the Chris Paul HBCU Classic, followed by the final road non-conference game on Dec. 29 at TCU (16-16 last season).
The month of January features Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play including home games against Alcorn State (Jan. 3), Prairie View A&M (Jan. 17), Texas Southern (Jan. 19), and Grambling State (Jan. 31). It also features road games at Alabama State (Jan. 10), Alabama A&M (Jan. 12), Bethune-Cookman (Jan. 24), and Florida A&M (Jan. 26). Jackson State will play eight games including three at home against Southern (Feb. 2), Florida A&M (Feb. 14), and Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 16). The Tigers will play five road games in the month of February beginning with Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 7), followed by Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 9), Alcorn State (Feb. 21), Prairie View A&M (Feb. 26), and Texas Southern (Feb. 28).
The Tigers close out the regular season in March with a pair of home games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (March 3) and Mississippi Valley State (March 5) before heading to Atlanta for the conference tournament.
