BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Jackson State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams posted impressive finishes over the weekend at the UAB Green and Gold Invite 2022, hosted here by the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
In the women's division, senior
Hannah White grabbed two first places, winning gold in the shot put with a mark of 14.68 meters, as well as gold in the discus with a 49.01-meter mark. Freshman
Lilliann Dudley finished second in the shot put behind White, winning silver with a mark of 14:15 meters.
As a team, the JSU Lady Tigers finished in sixth place in a field of 18 competing teams.
In the men's division, Adell Coltrust finished first in two events, winning gold in the 100 meters (10.61) and 200 meters (21.19). Additionally, the JSU 4x400-meter relay team finished first with a time of 3:22.46.
Austin Fields, meanwhile, finished third in the high jump with a jump of 1.93 meters.
As a team, the Tigers finished fifth in a field of 15 competing teams.
