JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Jackson State track and field star
Ledamian Rowell is headed to NCAA Nationals after his performance in the triple jump event at NCAA East Regionals.
Mylani Galbreath,
Ivan Donaldson Jr., and
Javon Gray also competed in several events during the week.
Rowell achieved a new personal best with a leap of 15.99 meters in his final jump to qualify for his first trip to Nationals. He also competed in the long jump where he placed in the top 25.
Donaldson Jr. joined Rowell as the only Tigers to compete in two events, as he ran in the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles. He placed in the top 40 in both events, with his best performance being in the 400-meter hurdles.
Gray competed alongside Rowell in the triple jump event, cracking the top 35.
Galbreath represented the Lady Tigers at Regionals, competing in the long jump and placing in the top 32.
