STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Jackson State University baseball team lost at Mississippi State 17-2 Tuesday at Dudy Noble Field.

Jackson State scored both runs in the fifth inning. Devontae Rhodes walked to lead off the inning before Ty Hill launched a two-run homer to left field on a 2-1 pitch, his second of the season.

The Tigers (18-19) return to action at home Friday at 6 p.m. in game one of a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference series hosting Alabama State at Braddy Field.
