MONROE, La. – The Jackson State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams combined for 17 Top 3 finishes at the Warhawk Classic on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the final competition before the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships next week.

Among the teams' top finishes were three first place performances, including Hannah White's winning throw of 50.28 meters in the women's discus. Two Tigers garnered first places as well, with Adell Colthrust winning the 100-meter dash in a personal best time of 10.23 seconds, and Jallah Galimah winning the 800-meter run after being clocked at 1:55.37.
 
White and Colthrust both turned in a pair of Top 3 finishes. In addition to winning the women's discus, White also finished third in the hammer throw with a heap of 47.70 meters, good enough for third place. Colthrust, meanwhile, added to his 100-meter gold by finishing second in the 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 21.09 seconds.
