BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Jackson State University baseball team saw its season end with a 6-3 loss to Prairie View A&M in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament.
JSU tied the score in the fourth inning.
Ty Hill reached on an infield single with one out and scored on a two-out double by
El'Rico Riley.
The Tigers took the lead in the fifth.
Marcus Atterberry led off with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a throwing error to take a 2-1 lead.
In the top of the seventh, JSU extended its lead on a two-out bases loaded walk to Hill, scoring Atterberry for a 3-1 lead. However, PV regained the lead for good with five runs in the last two innings.
