THIBODEAUX, La.| The Jackson State University soccer team dropped its second road match at Nicholls State Sunday afternoon. The Tigers fell 1-0 after a goal by NSU in the last six minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Nicholls State (1-4-1) shot at 7:03 as Koryn Barrett took a chance for the Colonels and Tionna Taylor registered the first save of the game
-Jackson State (1-5) took a shot at the 12:03 mark as Kianna Tulloch shot on goal and NSU's Reagan Carter recorded the save
-Yayira Ahortor shot on goal for JSU at 15:44 forcing the Colonels' goalie to make a play
-The Tigers shot four more times in the first period, including once on goal, with no luck
-JSU shot four times, twice on goal, to Nicholls' two shots before the Colonels scored at the 84:45 mark
-Jackson State's Kendyl Terrell took one last shot at the 88:34 mark, but the Tigers came up just short 1-0
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Jackson State took a total of 13 shots, seven in the first half and six in the second half
-Nicholls State took seven shots, three in the first half and four in the second half
-Tionna Taylor registered five saves for the Tigers
-Reagan Carter recorded five saves for Nicholls State

The Tigers continue their road stretch to Natchitoches, La. to take on Northwestern State Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
