JACKSON, Ms. -The Jackson State track and field has announced its 2023 schedule, which begins Jan. 12-14 with two meets in Birmingham. 

The Tigers' indoor campaign is set to feature three more trips to Birmingham, opening at the Samford Open (Jan. 20-21), South Alabama Invitational (Feb. 4 - Feb.5), and Samford Invitational (Feb. 9-10). 

The indoor concludes Feb. 15-17 with the SWAC Indoor Championship at the Birmingham CrossPlex. 

The Tiger's outdoor slate will feature two in-state meets in the Mississippi College Open (March 4) and Bulldogs Relays (March 24 - 25). The details for both meets will be released at a later date. 

The 2023 postseason begins May 2- 6 with the SWAC Championship. National qualifiers will then be determined at the NCAA East Preliminary (May 22-28) in Jacksonville, followed by the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 8-14) at Austin, Texas, to close out the collegiate season.
