GRAMBLING, La.| The Jackson State soccer team was edged at Grambling State Friday afternoon, 2-1 after knotting the match at one in the first half.

Grambling State (11-4-3, 7-0-0) jumped ahead as Karlyn Judge scored 8:32 into the game.
Jackson State (6-9-0, 5-2-0) answered with a goal from
Maya-Joy Thompson to tie the score 1-1 at the 34:02 mark.
Kendyl Terrell was credited with the assist.

GSU took a late shot in the match as Morgan Johnson scored with only ten minutes left in regulation at 80:48 to take the 2-1 lead. JSU wasn't able to recover as the home team secured the victory.
