Box Score (PDF)

Jackson, Miss.
The Jackson State men's basketball team had seven players score in double figures on their way to a 116-68 win over Rhodes College on Wednesday night inside the Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.

The Tigers will officially open their season on Monday, November 6, on the road in Memphis. Still, they played an exhibition at home to allow the fans to see the Tigers before the season officially begins. JSU didn't disappoint at all. Jackson State made 48 percent of their shots in the first half and 55 percent in the second half on their way to a win.

Jackson State scored 58 points in the paint, 38 points off 21 turnovers, and 49 points off the bench in the win. The Tigers also protected the ball with just three turnovers.
Coltie Young led all scorers with 21 points, followed by Ken Evans Jr., who had 18. Jordan O'Neal, Chase Adams, Zeke Cook, and Keionte Cornelius all rounded out the Tigers, who scored in double figures.

Treyon Johnson grabbed 11 of Jackson State's 44 rebounds in the win.

For the night, the Tigers made 44 of their 90 shots taken to shoot 52 percent from the floor and were perfect from that charity stripe.

Jackson State will open up the regular season on the road at Memphis on Monday, November 6 at 7 p.m. in a game that can be seen live on ESPN+.
