Tigers Head To UAPB For First Leg Of Final Regular Season Road Trip

PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Jackson State men's basketball are on their final road trip of the regular season as they play Pine Bluff on HBCU GO.

Jackson State defeated Prairie View A&M 61-57 at home. 

The Tigers had three players score in double figures, led by Romelle Mansel, who had 14 points and two blocks. Coltie Young added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, his second double-double of the season, and Chase Adams helped out with 10 points, six assists, and three steals.

The Tigers shot well from three-point range, knocking down five of 12 long-range attempts. The Tigers rank third in the conference in three-point attempts. 

Jackson State out-rebounded Prairie View A&M 39-25.

JSU has positioned themselves to be third in the conference in a tie with Southern. 

UAPB fell to the Mississippi Valley 78-74. 


Chris Greene, Shaun Doss Jr., and Kylen Milton combined for 80 percent of the Golden Lion's points.

JSU defeated UAPB 88-84 on Feb. 6th.
