Soccer Match Called Off Due to Extreme Heat Conditions

JONESBORO, Ark.| The Jackson State versus Arkansas State soccer match was called due to excessive heat after 45 minutes of play Thursday afternoon. The Red Wolves took a 2-1 lead over the Tigers before the half. Today's match does not count towards either team's record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jackson State's Kendyl Terrell scored first in the game as JSU got ahead to a 1-0 lead. Arkansas State scored twice to go ahead 2-1 before the half. After halftime, the game was called due to extreme heat conditions.
 
UP NEXT
The Tigers host Murray State on Sunday afternoon in their home opener. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
