Jason Brown has been named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' 37-7 win over South Carolina State in the Cricket MEAC-SWAC Challenge.
Brown completed 26-of-30 passes for 356 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions in the Tigers' 37-7 victory over South Carolina State in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. He completed passed to eight different receivers and at one point completed 22 consecutive passes while leading JSU to scores on six consecutive possessions to end the game.
The two-time defending SWAC Champion Tigers will face Florida A&M in the Denny's Orange Blossom Classic Sunday, Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CT in Miami Gardens, Fla. on ESPN.
