MONROE, La. - The two-time defending Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion Jackson State men's cross country team posted two top 10 finishes, while the women's team had solid performances Saturday at Louisiana Monroe.
In men's action in the 7k race, senior
Jeremiah Hudson finished sixth with a time of 24:04. Junior
Ber'Narjay Jackson finished ninth with a time of 24:44. Junior
Caleb Crutcher finished 14
th with a time of 25:50, and freshman
Derrick Eskridge was 19
th with a time of 26:33.
In women's action in the 5k, freshman
Kaylin Jackson was the top JSU finisher in 17
th place with a time of 21:04. Junior
Jalecia Johnson was the other top finisher for the Lady Tigers with a time of 26:23.
Jackson State returns to action Oct. 7 at Louisiana Tech.
