JSU's SWAC Opener Ends in a Draw

JACKSON, Miss.|-- After Kendly Terrell's goal was called off with 40 seconds left in the match, the Jackson State soccer team ended its SWAC opener in a 0-0 draw against Alabama A&M at JSU Soccer Field.

The Tigers move to 0-6-2 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play.

How it Happened

Jackson State totalled 14 shots in the scoreless tie, seven of them on goal. The Tigers faced seven Alabama A&M shots, four of them on goal. Rebecca Jamieson led JSU with four saves. After a length injury timeout with 45 seconds in the match, Kendyl Terrell immediately headed for the goal and scored from what would have been an assist from Karime Antonio-Lopez, but Terrell's goal was called off due to contact with the goalie on the run.
