NEW ORLEANS, La.| The Jackson State offense notched 12 assists on 14 made shots, but the Tigers fell to the Tulane Green Wave 77-37.
Zoe Cooper led the Tigers (1-4) with seven points and three blocks. Shalance Montoya also added nine points and Diaka Berete helped out with six points. The Lady Tigers forced 21 Tulane turnovers, turning into 14 points on the offensive end of the floor. Taleah Dilworth led the way individually for the Tigers with two steals.
How It Happened
- After falling behind 18-6, Jackson State (1-4) went on a 10-0 run with 2:13 left in the first quarter, culminating in a three from Cooper, to narrow its deficit to 18-16, a score that would hold for the rest of the period.
- However, Tulane was able to pull away for a 39-24 lead at halftime.
- The Tigers could not get any closer as Tulane grew the lead in the second half, growing the lead to 61-32 heading into the fourth quarter.
