PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas| The Jackson State soccer team fell 2-1 against Alabama A&M Thursday afternoon in the 2024 SWAC Soccer Tournament at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.
How it Happened
Alabama A&M took a 1-0 lead when Albany Rios scored in the 32nd minute. The Tigers leveled the match on a goal from Checule Dowling, her first goal of the season, in the 40th minute, assisted by Erin Cate and Kendyl Terrell. The Bulldogs went on top 2-1 on Jasmine Perez-Acosta's 52nd-minute goal, assisted by Amelia Barber. Despite the Tigers' fight in the second half and in the final few seconds of the match, the 2-1 score held to the end of the game.
