JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State scored early but fell to a Memphis rally in the final two innings, falling 5-2 in non-conference action on Wednesday.
Jackson State was held to just four hits, all by different players in the loss, while
Victoria Salazar suffered the loss working 6.0 innings in the start allowing three runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
How It Happened
- (B5) Jace Jackson reached on an error allowing Beija Allen and Mari Stephens to score, Jackson State 2-0.
- (T6) Zoe Adebayo doubled to center to drive in a run before McKaylee Polk connected on a two-run home run, Memphis 3-2.
- (T7) Kennedy Semien recorded a sacrifice fly followed by an Adebayo single to right, Memphis 5-2.
