Soccer falls at home to Southeastern Louisiana

JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State soccer team fell at home Saturday afternoon to Southeastern Louisiana after tying the match at one in the first half. The result was a 3-1 loss for JSU.

How it Happened

  • Southeastern Louisiana (1-1-1)  grabbed a 1-0 lead when Kelsey Fuller scored in the 14th minute at 14:26.
  • Jackson State (0-3-1) leveled the game on Kalia Tablado's first goal of the season at 23:35, assisted by Kendyl Terrell.
  • The Lions then broke up the 1-1 draw on Nicole O'neill's 47th-minute goal.
  • SELU went up 3-1 with a goal from Katie Brown at 66:24 to seal the Lions' 3-1 win.
Inside the Numbers
  • Jackson State finished with four shots four shots and three on goal while SELU had four on goal in the match.
  • Rebecca Jamieson recorded one save for the  Tigers out of 12 total Lions shots.
