Godfrey Kimutai led both Jackson State cross country teams with his third first-place finish of the year at the Belhaven Invitational, while both teams finished in third place overall.
Kimutai cruised to the finish line, recording a new personal best in the 8k with a time of 25:38.89 to lead all runners on the day. Coming off a SWAC Newcomer of the Week honor,
Malvin Boen finished in 15th place.

Lorine Jelagat led the Lady Tigers for the third time this season, recording a 13th-place finish against some tough competition, including several Mississippi State runners.
Joan Koech followed behind her, cracking the top 25.
