BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | For the third time this season, freshman Ryan Achau earned a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly award for his performance at the Nicholls XC Invitational last Saturday, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Achau was named SWAC Men's Runner of the Week after winning the 4-mile in 20:01.0 and leading his team to a first-place finish, the first one of the season. The Baringo, Kenya, native has won all three races this season, matching his teammate Godfrey Kimuati's win total last season, with one more regular-season meet remaining before the SWAC Championships on Oct. 27.
