FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. | Tamarion Hoover recorded a career-high in points on Friday night as Jackson State fell 112-61 to Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena in the final game of a five-game road swing to open the season.
Hoover scored a career-high 19 points, topping his previous mark of 18 against WKU (Nov. 20, 2024), in 21 minutes. He finished 6-of-11 shooting from the floor including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and was perfect from the free throw line (3-of-3) with three assists. Dorian McMillian finished with nine points, while three players finished with seven points including Jayme Mitchell Jr., Kedrick Simmons (career-high), and Delyle Williams (also finished with a career-high six rebounds).
Malique Ewin led seven players in double figures for Arkansas with 21 points.
Jackson State finished the night shooting 34.4 (22-of-64) percent from the floor and 33.3 (9-of-27) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 72.7 (8-of-11) percent from the free throw line. Meanwhile, Arkansas finished the night shooting 63.9 (39-of-61) percent from the floor and 50.0 (9-of-18) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 77.8 (28-of-36) percent from the free throw line.

Jackson State shot 21.2 (7-of-33) percent from the floor and 20.0 (3-of-15) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 100.0 (2-of-2) percent from the free throw line. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks shot 53.3 (16-of-30) percent from the floor and 50.0 (5-of-10) percent from the free throw line, while shooting 76.9 (10-of-13) percent from the free throw line. The Tigers shot 48.4 (15-of-31) percent from the floor in the second half, while also shooting 50.0 (6-of-12) percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 (6-of-9) percent from the free throw line. Arkansas finished the second half shooting 74.2 (23-of-31) percent from the floor and 50.0 (4-of-8) percent from beyond the arc, while also shooting 78.3 (18-of-23) percent from the free throw line.
Jackson State played without Jalen Tatum (missed three games), Keiveon Hunt (missed all five games), Dionjahe Thomas (missed all five games), Mike Williams (missed back-to-back games(, and Raevon Thomas (missed all five games).
