HUNTSVILLE, Ala.| The Jackson State volleyball team stormed back after losing set one to secure a 3-1 victory (22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-20) over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs Sunday on the road at Elmore Gymnasium.

The conference win improved Jackson State's record to 12-12 overall and 11-3 in SWAC action.

The Tigers attack was paced by Kyra Dove, who finished with 12 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .476, and by Jayden James, who had 12. got 10 digs from Giannelle Asomani to lead them defensively.

• Jackson State couldn't persevere past a ferocious Alabama A&M rally in the first set, falling 25-22 after leading by seven points at 13-6 earlier in the set.
• The Tigers rallied after dropping the first set to take set two 25-18, tying the match at one set apiece.
• JSU led from the first point on in the set to earn the victory.
• Jackson State opened up as much as a 12 point lead at 20-8 before finishing off the set, collecting 18 kills along the way.
• The Tigers hit .300 over the course of a set where they racked up 18 kills.
• JSU took set three to make it a 2-1 match after picking up the lead for good at 22-21 in a set that featured six ties and six lead changes.
• Jackson State claimed a match win with a 25-20 fourth-set victory, winning their third set in a row.
• The Tigers grabbed control of the set at 4-3 and never looked back.
• JSU led by seven points at 22-15 before closing out the stanza, totaling 17 kills.
• Jackson State also supplemented their offense with three aces in the set.
