BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Jackson State senior guard Daeshun Ruffin was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Impact Player of the Week following his performance against Kennesaw State last week.
Ruffin finished the night with 28 points, with half of those coming in the first half. He finished the night shooting 38.9 (7-of-18) percent from teh floor and connected on 92.3 (12-of-13) percent from the free throw line. He also dished out five assists.
Jackson State hits the road for a Saturday afternoon match-up with Northwestern on the Big10 Network.
