BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Eric Elliott was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) co-Pitcher of the Week for his performance against Grambling State over the weekend, announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. 

Elliott (4-0) won his second consecutive conference start with 13 strikeouts in 6.0 innings allowing just two hits in the process. It was also the second consecutive start that Elliott recorded 13 strikeouts, part of a 39-strikeout performance by the Jackson State pitching staff over the weekend. 

Jackson State returns to action this weekend in SWAC action on the road against Florida A&M.
