JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State fell to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Tuesday afternoon in their first conference loss of the year.
Despite the loss, the Tigers can still clinch the regular season Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championship in their next matchup.
Despite losing the doubles point, Zeina Shaaban and Paula Corbalan claimed the Tigers' lone victory with a 6-3 decision at number one.
In singles play, Shaaban recorded a 6-1, 6-4 win at number two to complete her two-win day. Isabella Benavides and Corbalan suffered narrow defeats as both lost a respective set 6-7.
