PINE BLUFF, Ark. | Jackson State took a late lead before UAPB used a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning giving the Golden Lions a 4-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victory on Saturday afternoon.
Jackson State (27-19, 14-12 SWAC) dropped its second consecutive game following a 10-game winning streak despite Robert Tate Jr. and Wilbert Perez combining for five hits. Tate finished 3-for-5 with an RBI (added a double and a triple) to pace the nine-hit Tigers' attack, while Perez finished 2-for-4 with a run scored. Meanwhile, Ledy Alvarez finished with a pair of RBI for Jackson State.
Stevins Spurgeon Jr. (2-3) suffered the loss out of the bullpen, working the final 2.2 innings allowing one run on four hits with a strikeout. Eric Elliott logged 6.0 innings in he start allowing a pair of runs on one hit with six strikeouts, and Nkosi Didder came out of the bullpen to work 1.1 innings allowing one run on two hits.

- 8th inning - Alvarez singled to right field, 2 RBI; Pierre Cabral advanced to second; Joseph Eichelberger scored; Perez scored, Jackson State 3-2.
- 8th inning - Riera flied out to lf, SAC, RBI; Gries-Smith scored, 3-3.
- 11th inning - Courtney Allen singled, RBI; Jason Moss advanced to second; Small advanced to third; Saumell scored, UAPB 4-3.
