Jorgina Gant (9-7) started and took the loss in the circle for Jackson State .
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jackson State (28-23) did not advance a runner past second base in the game.
- The Tigers went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the sixth, when Ka'Liyah Gipson made it into scoring position with two outs.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jackson State pitchers limited Florida A&M to just 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
- Mari Stephens led the Tigers at the plate, going 0 for 1.
- Florida A&M was led offensively by Brown, who went 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
- Brown led the Rattlers pitching staff, throwing seven scoreless innings.
