Tigers move into the top 15 in FCS Top 25

WACO, Texas | Jackson State moved up two spots in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 this week after its season-opening 28-14 victory over Hampton in the Hope Labor Day Classic on Saturday.

Jackson State (1-0) picked up 422 votes, just one vote behind Southern Illinoi who is 14th in this week's poll, and remain the only HBCU team in the top 25. The Tigers return to action this week on the road against Southern Miss at 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
