JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State University Division of Athletics hosted its annual Donor Reception Banquet, celebrating the generosity and commitment of individuals and organizations that play a pivotal role in the success of Jackson State's athletic programs.
This year's honorees included The Blue Bengal Athletic Association, JSU Tiger Fund Athletic Foundation, JSU Association of Alumni Athletes, The 1400 Klub, and the JSU KC1400 Collective, among others. The evening also recognized key corporate partners, including Hope Credit Union, the title sponsor for the Hope Labor Day Classic - a marquee match-up between JSU and Hampton University held on Aug. 30, 2025.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the JSU Athletics Donor of the Year Award to Mr. Brian Johnson and Mr. Beverly Bishop & Dr. Rhea Williams-Bishop in recognition of their extraordinary financial contributions and unwavering support of Jackson State student-athletes.
The celebration underscored the vital role of philanthropic support and corporate partnerships in advancing JSU Athletics' mission to provide championship-level opportunities for its 18 sports programs.
