JACKSON, Miss. | The Tigers bounced back at home on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Xavier of Louisiana (XULA) Golden Nuggets with
Jhoan Vaquero and
Chen Hung-Yu leading the way with two wins.
Vaquero teamed with
Federico Pickenstainer to defeat Emmanuel Jebutu and Samy Dahmany in a 6-2 victory at number three. Hung-Yu and
Ching Chang Chiu gave the Tigers the doubles point with a hard-fought 7-6 victory against their opponents.
In singles play, Vaquero earned a win in a three-set thriller against Jebutu 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, while Hung-Yu also picked up his second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-2 score.
Fabrizio Fallas finished the job by winning his match in three sets at number 6 with a 7-5, 3-6, 4-1 victory, giving the Tigers their second win of the season.
