JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State women's tennis team earned its second win of the season in a 4-1 victory against XULA at home on Saturday afternoon.
The doubles combination of
Victoria Linkovski and
Helen Hernandez secured a 6-2 win on court one. Then,
Paula Corbalan and
Isabella Benavides clinched the doubles point for the Lady Tigers, winning their match in a 6-2 decision.
The Lady Tigers carried their momentum into singles play with Hernandez and
Mariia Iordanova picking up quick wins at number five and two, respectively. Linkovski secured the Jackson State victory, winning her match up with a 6-0, 7-6 (4) decision.
