MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Jackson State women's tennis team remains unbeaten in conference play after a 4-0 win over the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on Friday afternoon.
The Tigers began the day with a 6-2 victory in doubles competition by
Tiara Alvarez and
Daniela Tovar, followed by a
Paula Corbalan and
Isabella Benavides win at number two via a 6-3 decision to take the doubles point heading into singles play.
Freshman
Victoria Linkovski secured the first singles win of the day for the Tigers at number three with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Junior
Helen Hernandez won her match in a 6-2, 6-1 decision, while Corbalan sealed the deal, defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-3 to give the Tigers their fourth Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) win of the season.
