Tigers will enter tournament as No. 7 seed

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Jackson State enters the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament as the No. 7 seed following the conclusion of the regular season on Thursday night.

Jackson State (11-20, 10-8 SWAC) will take the floor on Tuesday night in the final game of the day, facing the winner of No. 9 Grambling State and No. 12 Mississippi Valley State who hit the floor on Monday, March 9. All games will be played at Gateway Arena in Atlanta (Ga.).

The remainder of the bracket features No. 10 Alabama State and No. 11 Alcorn State meeting on Monday, with the winner advancing to face No. 8 seed Prairie View A&M in the top half of the bracket. The remainder of the top half of the bracket features No. 1 seed Bethune-Cookman, and No. 4 seed Texas Southern facing No. 5 seed Alabama A&M. 

Meanwhile, the bottom half of the bracket features No. 2 Florida A&M awaiting the winner of Tuesday nightcap, and No. 3 Southern facing No. 6 Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
