Jackson State to honor student-athletes with stole ceremony on Thursday

JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State University Division of Athletics will honor 47 student-athletes, who will graduate this weekend, with its annual stole ceremony inside the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.

The event takes place at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.

Along with honoring the graduates, a trio of student-athletes will address their fellow graduates including Callie Calicut (track and field), Isabella Benavides (women's tennis), and Tymon Wells (football). Those student-athletes being honored include Jaylin Acker (football), Kejuan Barbee (football), Jameel Gardner Jr. (football), Camden Hardy (football), Shamar Hawkins (football), Emari Matthews (football), Reid Pulliam (football), Cam'Ron Richardson (football), Khamauri Rogers (football), Kanye Varner (football), B.J. Washington (football), Beija Allen (softball), Meah Almaraz (softball), Kristina Carlson (softball), Jace Jackson (softball), Brooklyn Morris (softball), Ariana Murillo (softball), Catherine Amaya Andrews (soccer), Sarah Portis (soccer), Caylah Williams (soccer), Keiveon Hunt (men's basketball), Jayme Mitchell Jr. (men's basketball), Daeshun Ruffin (men's basketball), Jalen Tatum (men's basketball), Gokalp Ayar (men's tennis), Federico Pickenstainer (men's tennis), Kymorah Carter (volleyball), Karys Dove (volleyball), Jayden James (volleyball), Makenzie Washington (volleyball), Christian Delgado (baseball), Caleb Gallant (baseball), Jayden Lopez (baseball), Tyree Reed (baseball), Parker Winfield (baseball), Skyler Christmas (women's basketball), Mya Grimes (track and field), Tramani Osley (track and field), Derriana Moss (track and field), Xhamani Thompson (track and field), Terrell Dixon (track and field), Nakerrius Eppenger (track and field), Jordan Robinson (track and field), and Elias Williams (track and field).

The Tigers are represented by 11 different sports, 18 different majors, and one student-athlete receiving his Master's degree (Rogers).

Business casual attire is required for the event.
