BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Kianah Farmer and Taylor Osborn earned SWAC weekly honors after standout performances against Southern on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers defeated the Jaguars 3-0 at the JSU Soccer Field to open conference play. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Osborn is picking up right where she left off last season registering her first shutout victory of the season against Southern. Osborn helped to the Tigers to victory while recording six saves in the match.

Kianah Farmer earns her second SWAC weekly honor this time as a defender. Farmer played 90 minutes anchoring the Tigers' defense and contributing on offense. She put JSU on the board at the 38-minute mark to open the scoring. Jackson State went on to score two more goals in the match.

The Tigers will travel to Grambling, La. to take on Grambling State Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is set for  5 p.m.
