Christopher Woodall

Coach Chris Woodall enters his second season with Jackson State after helping guide the Tigers to a 11-7 mark in SWAC play in year one.

Woodall, a native from Jackson, Miss. and a 2007 class graduate of Provine High School, came to Jackson State after recently serving as the assistant coach at Pearl River Community College under Coach Chris Oney where he spent the last three seasons with the Wildcats.
 
During his time at PRCC, Coach Woodall helped guide the Wildcats to a state championship in 2017-18 and region 23 championship in 2018-19 season.
 
Prior to joining the Wildcats staff, he served the 2014-16 seasons as a full-time assistant for the William Carey Crusaders, helping them win 2 regular season championships in 2 years while finishing 10th in the nation NAIA.
 
Before becoming the full time assistant coach for William Carey, joined the staff as a graduate assistant from 2012-14. During his time as a GA he helped the Crusaders with the 2013-14 conference championship.
 
Woodall also attended and played for William Carey from 2009-2011, playing under Mississippi Hall of Fame Coach Steve Knight.
 
He also attended and played for Navarro junior college in Corsicana, TX, under Coach Johnny Estelle, from 2007-2009.
 
At Provine High School, Woodall helped guide the Rams to winning the 2007 state championship.

He also has earned a Bachelor of Science in May of 2012 from William Carey University. In 2014 earned a Masters of Education from William Carey University. In 2017 earned a Master’s degree in sports science from Jackson State University. In 2019 earned a Specialist degree in education from Jackson State University.
