2024-25 (RS-Junior): Mbugua played in 28 games with nine starts…Averaged 2.2 points per game while shooting 35.7 percent from the field.

2023-24 (RS-Sophomore): Played in 18 games at Carson-Newman...Scored 10 points and 20 rebounds...Avg 2.3 points and rebounds...Nine blocks and five steals on the season.

2022-23 (RS-Freshman): Saw action in 26 of 29 games, finishing eighth in the conference with 1.04 blocks per gameand ninth with 26 overall... Posted at least one rejection in 15 outings with four of at least three... Recorded a block in her career debut at USC Aiken on Nov. 12... Scored the first points of the game and of her career in her first start at Wayne State on Nov. 22... Piled up eight points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 15 minutes against No. 18 Catawba on Nov. 28... Made five of seven shots scoring a dozen points with eight rebounds and three assists in a win against Mars Hill on Dec. 14... Notched the second double-digit scoring effort of her career with 10 points in a career-high 28 points adding three blocks at No. 23 Wingate on Feb. 18. 

2021-22 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

High School: As a team captain, Mbugua posted 16 points and 16 rebounds per game in just her second season of organized basketball a year ago. She was named the program's most improved player and was voted the Danville High School's Student Body President.

Personal: Daughter of Dennis and Beatrice Mbugua…Born on August 12, 2003 in Nairobi, Kenya… Mbugua’s sister, Grace Mbugua, played at University of Louisville.
