Lady Tigers Nearly Complete Comeback Bid

Box Score JACKSON – Marneisha Hamer dropped 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to post the double-double as Southeastern Louisiana narrowly defeated Jackson State women's basketball 50-45 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

The Lady Tigers (1-5, 0-0 SWAC) shot 36.8 percent (14-of-38) from the floor. JSU scored 22 points in the paint along with 17 points off the bench. The Lady Lions (4-1, 0-0 Southland) shot 38 percent (19-of-50) from the field.

Antionette Womack added 11 points and Christina Ellis chipped in six points.

Sumer Williams scored four points, while Kaisah Lucky and Jasmine Cowen each netted three points.

The Lady Tigers return to the hardwood December 11 with an 11 a.m. bout versus Springhill at the AAC.
