Akron Defeats Jackson State at Holiday Hoops Classic

Mitchell Scored Game-High 19 Points

Box Score LAS VEGAS – D'Asia Mitchell scored a game-high 19 points as Akron defeated the Jackson State women's basketball team 74-57 Thursday evening at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.
 
JSU fell to 3-6, while UA improved to 7-2.
 
Kaisah Lucky added 12 points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. She also went 4-of-7 from the free-throw line and handed out five assists.
 
Marneisha Hamer dropped 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor. The Memphis native also added a pair of free throws.
 
JSU returns to action Saturday and plays Illinois-Chicago for a 11/1 p.m. tilt.
