JSU (2-11, 2-3-0 SWAC) kept the pressure on the TSU (3-8-1, 2-3-1 SWAC) throughout the entire match and out-shot its opponent 13-8, including a 6-2 margin in the first half.

The match was very physical and there were 28 total fouls and five yellow cards issued.

JSU returns to the pitch with a pair of road games next weekend. The Lady Tigers are at Grambling on Friday at 4 p.m. and at Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Quotable:

"This was probably the best we've played this season and our effort was great. We are a different team than we were at the beginning of the season. In our non-conference games, we allowed a lot of goals and struggled. Now, as we head deeper into SWAC play we ae gaining confidence," Dr. Ted Flogaites, JSU head soccer coach
