HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Jackson State volleyball team faltered to Alabama A&M (18-14) on Sunday evening in conference play.
The two teams split the first two sets with A&M taking set one 25-21 before JSU dominated set two 25-16.
Tied at 1-1, Alabama A&M once again took the upper hand, defeating the Lady Tigers 25-21 in the third set.
Jackson State kept things close in the fourth set but ultimately fell in the final set 25-23 and overall 3-1.
Kaiya Wall finished with 12 kills on 31 total attacks along with 11 digs.
Camry Dabney had a team-high 14 kills on a team-high 42 attacks.
Alana Washington tallied 21 digs and three assists.
Damassy Thompson notched a game-high 26 assists and collected 10 digs.
Madison Wolf ended her night with 12 kills and five digs.
Taila Gaines had a team high five blocks as well as adding nine kills in the contest.
With the loss the Lady Tigers slip to 16-17 overall and 12-4 in SWAC play.
Jackson State heads to Montgomery, Ala. tomorrow to take on Alabama State beginning at 6:30 p.m.
