JACKSON, Miss. – Ameshya Williams tallied 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to secure her third double-double of the season as No. 10 Mississippi State used a second-half run to defeat Jackson State 92-53 in front of a raucous Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.
MSU improved to 6-0 and JSU falls to 1-4.
Freshman
Keshuna Luckett helped out with eight points and finished 2-for-3 at the free-throw line.
Marneisha Hamer added seven points and hauled in four rebounds.
The Lady Tigers found success in front of the basket and scored 32 points in the paint and as a team grabbed 45 rebounds.
JSU added 16 second-chance points, 12 bench points and nine fast-break points.
The Lady Tigers return to action Saturday, November 30 at Central Arkansas.
