LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Jackson State (1-6) finished 19-of-54 (35.2 percent) from the field in Tuesday nights matchup with UNLV (3-5) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Tigers scored 57 points in an 80-57 loss to the Rebels of UNLV, and received 23 points from
Tristan Jarrett, who had a team-high eight shots made on 18 total chances and had a high of three 3-pointers and four assists. The junior also collected three assists and four rebounds.
Venjie Wallis had 11 points of 3-of-7 shooting, five rebounds, two steals, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Wallis had the most rebounds on the night along with
Jayveous McKinnis (five rebounds).
Jonas James collected a high of four assists and also dished out six points in the loss to UNLV. Jackson State was 13-of-19 at the line with a 68.4 free throw percentage and 6-of-19 from three point range.
The Tigers return to the court on Sunday (Dec. 3) for a non-conference road matchup with Air Force in Air Force Academy, Colo. beginning at 3 p.m. (CT)
