PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M defeated Jackson State 11-1 and 8-1 Saturday afternoon to complete a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference series.
 
Game 1
 
Junior Kaitlyn Elzie produced an RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lady Tigers on the scoreboard.
 
Kelsey Smith and Cheyenne Aplon each batted 1-for-2.
 
Destyn Jones absorbed the setback. The freshman tossed two and two-thirds, scattered six hits, allowed seven runs (five earned) and five walks and fanned four batters.
 
Game 2
 
Ariana Cruz added an RBI in the top of the third inning.
 
Smith and Elzie each picked up a hit.
 
Kayla Owens tossed a complete game and allowed eight hits, eight runs (two earned) and walked seven batters and struck out seven.
 
The Lady Tigers return to action Friday and begin a three-game series vs Alabama State.
