Birmingham, Ala. - Jackson State goalie, Thea Ebbe Brich, has been named the Goalie of the Week by the SWAC office following her performances a week ago in matchups versus Southern Miss and North Alabama.
The Slangerup, Denmark native, recorded six saves on 23 attempts, while surrendering three goals last week in contests versus in a 2-0 loss to Southern Mississippi and North Alabama 1-0 loss.Â
In the Southern Miss matchup, the Golden Eagles took 13 shots against Brich, as only two goals made it to the back of the net.
The Lions of North Alabama had a total of 10 shots with the only goal of the game coming in the final second of overtime.Â
On the season, Brich has played in five games with five starts and tallied a total of 332:12 minutes. She has allowed a total of 20 goals on 76 total shots from opponents including 21 saves.Â
Brich and the Tigers take on Howard University this Friday in Birmingham, Ala. to open up SWAC play.
