JACKSON, Miss. – Wesley Reyes delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the 10
th inning and Jackson State walked off with a 5-4 win over Southern Illinois.
The Tigers pounded out 13 hits.
Jaylyn Williams batted 3-for-5 with an RBI.
Chandler Dillard also went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI and
Equon Smith finished 2-for-4 and scored a run.
CJ Newsome also picked up a pair of hits.

Jefrey Rodriguez and
Kelani Luke each picked up a hit.
Nikelle Galatas started and absorbed the no decision. Galatas tossed a strong eight innings and surrendered 11 hits and allowed three runs. The junior and SWAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year struck out four and walked one.
In game two of the doubleheader SIU defeated JSU 19-8.
Prentiss batted 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI, while Williams batted 2-for-3 with three RBI.
The Tigers and Salukis finish their four-game series Sunday at noon.
