Box Score JACKSON, Miss. – Southern Illinois defeated Jackson State 7-2 in the series finale Sunday afternoon from Bob Braddy Field.
 
As a team, JSU collected 10 hits and left nine runners on base.
 
Jaylyn Williams batted 2-for-4 with an RBI and Kelani Luke went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Chandler Dillard also finished 2-for-4.
 
CJ Newsome, Chris Prentiss, Wesley Reyes, Jefrey Rodriguez and Tyler Jones all collected hits.
 
Harry Colon started and absorbed the setback. Colon tossed 3.1 innings and scattered three hits and allowed five runs (three earned). He fanned three batters and walked three.
 
The Tigers return to action Wednesday at Troy. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
