Jackson State held a 7-3 lead heading into the sixth inning, before Cal Baptist utilized a three run sixth and one run seventh to tie the game up at 7-7 to force extra innings.
In the eighth inning, using the international extra inning rule in which a player is placed at second base with one out, Cal Baptist was able to successfully cross a run over home plate to give CBU an 8-7 lead.

The Rebels took an early 1-0 lead in the first, yet Jackson State erased the difference with a run in the third inning to tie the game up at 1-1.
Ole Miss went on to score three runs in the fourth and five in the fifth, including a walk off grand slam to give the home team the 9-1 victory, sending themselves to the championship round tomorrow.
Jackson State will take on Missouri State in the morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the tournament's consolation match.
