HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Jackson State Tigers capped off the regular season winning its fourth game straight game in a row to clinch the fourth seed in the SWAC Tournament.
The Tigers will play host to Alcorn State Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the Lee E. WIlliams Athletics and Assembly Center.
Jayveous McKinnis had 13 points in the contest with 12 rebounds to finish with another double-double on the season.Â
Fresh off a 20 point performance to lead the Tigers on Thursday,
Venjie Wallis had a second best nine points for the Blue and WhiteÂ
Jonas James collected nine points, two rebounds, and one steal. Dontellius Ross and McKinnis led the Tigers with two steals a piece.
As a team, JSU shot 19-of-49 from the field and out rebounded the Bulldogs 38-31. The Tigers had 26 points in the paint.Â
The Tigers finished 14-17 overall and 11-7 in SWAC play as they gear up for tournament time next week.
